Faculty Potpourri Recital

A free faculty potpourri recital will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, at First United Methodist Church in Lake Charles as part of the McNeese State University Department of Performing Arts' 2012 Spring Faculty/Guest Artist Series.

The program will feature: "Concerto” by G.H. Stolzel; "Four Chorale Preludes from the Orgel Buchlein,” by J.S. Bach; "Joshua,” arr. Dan Marvin/Steve Bulla; "Paradis” from "La Chanson D'Eve” by Gabriel Faure; "Troubled Water,” arr. Margaret Bonds; "Mache dich, mein Herze, rein,” from "St. Matthew Passion,” BWV 244, J.S. Bach; "Meditation from Thais” by Jules Massenet; the premiere of "Poor Wayfaring Stranger,” setting by William Rose; and "Just a Closer Walk with Thee,” arr. Bruce Greer.

Scheduled to perform are: Dave Scott, trumpet/flugelhorn; Marlene Mullenix, organ; Bryan Proksch, organ; William Rose, trombone; Anne Rose, piano; Carol Lines, soprano; Lina Morita, piano; Christy Vogt-Corley, piano; Bret Smithey, bass-baritone/director; Judy Hand, flute; Jan Scott, clarinet; and the Asbury Ringers.
