If a department or unit wishes to conduct a fundraising activity, the individual responsible for conducting the fundraiser should receive written permission from his or her administrative supervisor (Dean, Department Head, or Director).

Upon the supervisorís approval, the written approval should be directed to the Vice President for University Advancement for approval. The written request must include the following:

  1. A thorough description of the fundraising activity.
  2. Information about the proposed use(s) of the funds.

This account shall be used for the management and control of all funds raised and expended in connection with the fundraising activity and shall be subject to audit by the Universityís Internal Auditor, by the Office of the Legislative Auditor, and by the McNeese Foundationís official auditor.
