sessions are offered this summer for incoming freshmen for the 2017 summer
session or fall semester at McNeese State University.
All first-time freshmen
are required to attend a one-day orientation, which includes orientation,
academic advising and class registration for their first semester at McNeese.
Orientations will be
held from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. May 17, May 25, June 7, June 23, June 29
and July 12 in Tritico Theatre in the Shearman Fine
Arts Annex. Students must register in advance for the orientation date they
plan to attend by going online to www.mcneese.edu/gbst.
orientation, the students will meet faculty and staff, meet current McNeese
students, take a campus tour, learn about campus resources, be advised for the
summer session or fall semester and register for classes.The summer
session begins June 12 and the fall semester begins Aug. 21.
Peerleaders – 26 student leaders across campus - will provide tours and work
with advisers to answer questions and offer guidance during registration.
sessions will also be offered for transfer and non-traditional students – those
students 21 and older – from 9 a.m. to noon May 24 and July 21 and from 5-8
p.m. Aug. 15 in Room 322 of Kaufman Hall. These students are requested to call
