McNeese students in Dripps School of Agricultural Sciences receive scholarships

Several students in McNeese State University’s Harold and Pearl Dripps School of Agricultural Sciences are recipients of state and national scholarships.

Four students are recipients of $1,800 scholarships from the Louisiana Poultry Industries Educational Foundation. They are Caleb Chiasson, Welsh; Brennan Uzee, Thibodaux; and William Vanderlick, Bell City, agricultural sciences majors, and Hunter Lepretre, Gueydan, natural resource conservation management major. The scholarships are awarded through the Louisiana Poultry Federation to qualified students on a competitive basis as they pursue a career in poultry science.

Logan Vallee, an agricultural science junior from Pineville, has received a $2,000 scholarship from AMVAC, an American Vanguard company. Vallee is one of seven students selected nationally for the annual award, which supports students as they pursue a career in agriculture and the cotton industry.
