McNeese SAGE Road Trip to see Monet Exhibit - Monday, September 2, 2019

McNeese State University Leisure Learning is taking the SAGE series on the road to Fort Worth, Texas, to view the exhibition, "Monet: The Late Years, Japanese Gardens and More,” Sept. 2-3.

The overnight trip will feature a visit to the Kimbell Art Museum to see the exhibit featuring more than 20 of Monet’s water lily paintings and other notable works from the artist’s final years.

Participants will also visit two Fort Worth gardens - the Japanese Garden, which consists of 7.5 acres of cherry trees, Japanese maples, magnolias, bamboo, bridges and Koi fish ponds, and the Water Gardens, where visitors can experience a variety of water features in an urban park setting.

Aug. 15 is the deadline to register for the trip. Cost is $295, with admission to museums and all exhibits included. Hotel and meals are not included, though travelers with SAGE may make their own reservations at the Fort Worth Hampton Inn & Suites – Downtown at a special SAGE rate of $98 plus tax, single or double, including a hot breakfast.
