DeRouen Family Donates to McNeese Foundation

The family of Dr. and Mrs. Larry (Marlene) DeRouen has given $52,000 to the McNeese State University Foundation to establish the Dr. and Mrs. Larry DeRouen Endowment in their honor. Marlene is a 1960 McNeese graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree in elementary education while Larry is a 1958 McNeese graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree in French. Marlene also received her Master of Education degree in elementary education from McNeese in 1981. Larry worked at McNeese as the director of the department of research and development, taught French in the department of English and foreign languages and retired as the director of facilities and plant operations. On hand for the presentation are, from left, the DeRouen’s great-grandchildren Milton and Ida Mae Saltzman and McNeese Executive Vice President Dr. Wade Rousse.
