McNeese State University and Lamar State College Orange (LSCO) signed an agreement allowing students to seamlessly transfer credits to McNeese towards a bachelor’s degree in the McNeese College of Business.
Upon completion of an Associate of Science in business at LSCO, students’ credits can be applied towards a Bachelor of Science in accounting, business administration, finance, management or marketing from the College of Business. Students can also earn a certificate in Liquefied Natural Gas Business while simultaneously completing the bachelor’s degree.
Students who transfer to McNeese will be earning a degree from an Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International accredited institution. AACSB is the gold seal and has accredited the top 5% of business programs in the world, explained Dr. Shuming “Sherry” Bai, dean of McNeese College of Business.
“We are thrilled to partner with LSCO to provide a clear pathway to a bachelor’s degree for students to realize their academic and career goals,” explained Dr. Chip LeMieux, provost and vice president for academic affairs and enrollment management. “We look forward to a long and fruitful relationship with LSCO by providing academic articulation agreements for easy transitions from associates to bachelor’s degrees.”
This agreement took effect at the beginning of the spring 2023 semester and will run for a five-year period.
