McNeese State University and South Louisiana Community College (SLCC) have signed an agreement that allows students to seamlessly transfer to McNeese after earning an associate degree in business administration.
The new agreement will welcome students from SLCC to complete the coursework for a bachelor’s degree in McNeese’s College of Business.
“Students deserve a straight path to transfer from the community college to their chosen university,” said Dr. Crystal Lee, vice chancellor for academic and student affairs at SLCC. “This transfer agreement between South Louisiana Community College and McNeese State University provides students majoring in business, exactly that, a clear path to success.”
Making a bachelor’s degree from McNeese more accessible for SLCC students will promote educational opportunities in South Louisiana and enrich both communities.
“Students who transfer to McNeese State University will be earning a degree from an Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International accredited institution. AACSB is the gold seal and has accredited the top 5% of business programs in the world,” explained Dr. Shuming “Sherry” Bai, dean of McNeese College of Business.
The degree programs in McNeese’s College of Business prepare graduates to meet the challenges of a fast-changing and increasingly global business environment.
“We are thrilled to partner with South Louisiana Community College to provide a clear pathway to a bachelor’s degree for students to realize their academic and career goals,” said Dr. Chip LeMieux, McNeese provost and vice president for academic affairs and enrollment management. “We look forward to a long and fruitful relationship with SLCC by providing academic articulation agreements for easy transitions from associate to bachelor’s degrees.”
Students interested in taking advantage of the agreement can contact admissions at SLCC or McNeese. McNeese has similar agreements with other community colleges. Visit www.mcneese.edu to find out more.
