Family and friends of Pamela Viney Mathews have given $15,000 to the McNeese State University Foundation to establish the Pamela Viney Mathews Memorial Scholarship. Pamela graduated from McNeese State University in 1976 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in liberal studies. She also earned her juris doctor degree from LSU Paul M. Hebert Law School and later taught at McNeese in the department of mass communication as an adjunct professor. On hand for the presentation are from left: Melissa Ellis Northcutt, director for university advancement operations and special events with the McNeese Foundation; and Pamela’s children: Kellen Mathews; Taylor Mathews Powell and Spencer Mathews.
