McNeese Receives Donation for Nursing Instructional Fund

Dr. Anita Fields-Gold has donated $5,000 to the McNeese State University Foundation for the Maureen Bates College of Nursing Instructional Fund. The fund was established in 2016 by Fields-Gold, her husband, Maurice, and her brother, Mid Ray Clark, in memory of Anita and Mid Ray’s mother, Maureen Bates. The monies are designated to be used to purchase instructional materials for the College of Nursing and Health Professions. Fields-Gold retired in 2001 as dean of the College of Nursing and was awarded professor emeritus status in June 2018. On hand for the donation are, from left, Fields-Gold and Dr. Wade Rousse, McNeese vice president for university advancement. McNeese Photo
