Russ Godwin, Griff Godwin and Louanna Godwin Goolsby have given $100,000 to the McNeese State University Foundation to establish the Fred R. and Jeaneal W. Godwin Memorial Scholarship in memory of their parents. Jeaneal was a 1983 Master of Education graduate and worked at McNeese in the office of admissions and recruiting for 14 years. Fred attended McNeese before earning a bachelor’s degree in social science and law and juris doctorate degrees from Louisiana State University. He retired as 14th Judicial District Court Judge in 2002. Fred was also an active member of the McNeese Alumni Association and McNeese Foundation Board of Directors.
