The Ieyoub family has donated $21,000 to the McNeese State University Foundation to support various campus initiatives. The Ieyoub family of Lake Charles has a proud connection to McNeese. Phillip Ieyoub came to Lake Charles as an immigrant from Lebanon and with his first-generation Lebanese American wife, Virginia, they raised four boys and a girl and instilled in them the importance of education as well as giving back to their communities. The four brothers – Richard, Kalil, Patrick and Daniel – along with 23 of their children, some of their children’s spouses and several grandchildren have received their degrees from McNeese. Their sister Ernestine also had a son, Dr. Richard “Rick” Underwood, who is a 1980 pre-medicine graduate of McNeese. This is a total of 28 members of one family. On hand for the presentation are, from left, Mark Ieyoub (‘85), Dr. Wade Rousse, McNeese vice president for university advancement, Kalil Ieyoub (’58), Dr. Daryl Burckel, McNeese president, Richard Ieyoub (’68) and Patrick Ieyoub (‘74). and.
