McNeese Receives Donation from McNeese Agriculture Alumni Chapter

The McNeese State University Agriculture Alumni Chapter has donated $15,000 to the McNeese Foundation to establish the Natalie Smith McNeese Agriculture Alumni Scholarship. This is the third endowed scholarship made by the chapter and was established for any major in the College of Agricultural Sciences. The money was raised through private donations and from proceeds of the chapter’s annual crawfish boil and auction.

The scholarship was created in memory of Natalie Smith, a 2017 animal science graduate and a first generation student at McNeese. Dr. Chip LeMieux, second from left, dean of the College of Agricultural Sciences, accepts the donation from Agriculture Alumni Chapter executive officers, from left, Jennifer Compton, Jon Streete and Wayne McVicker.
