New Scholarship Established for Education Majors

John Singleton, a 1972 engineering (mechanical) graduate, has donated $45,000 to the McNeese State University Foundation to establish the Mary Arthur Singleton Memorial Scholarship in memory of his wife. Mary was a 1965 secondary education graduate and a 1976 Master of Education graduate who taught in Calcasieu Parish for 33 years. The scholarship is designated for a student who graduated from a Calcasieu Parish School and is an education major with plans to enter the teaching profession.
