Welcome to McNeeseFoundation.org

The McNeese Foundation has kicked off its Building a Solid Foundation campaign in an effort to raise $15 million in endowed funds. Now is the time to endow a named scholarship -- with each $15,000 scholarship donation, you will earn a $5,000 match from the foundation's overflow of interest earned! Endowing your gift will create a perpetual source of academic support for McNeese, so please consider us when discerning your charitable contributions this year.

(Hube, Karen. (2007, May 12-13). Giving and Receiving: More investors are finding that gift
annuities can meet two financial needs at once. The Wall Street Journal, p R4.)

While most people get an appointment book or a mug in exchange for their charitable gifts, Harold Marcus of Olympia, Wash., gets something far more practical: a stream of income for the rest of his life.
His strategy? The 79-year-old makes his donations by using charitable gift annuities.
Unlike commercial annuities, which are sold by insurance companies, charitable gift annuities are offered directly by nonprofit organizations like charities, universities and hospitals. And while they do have some pitfalls, more and more people are discovering these products as a neat solution to both their charitable intentions and their desire to create more reliable income in retirement.
