hosting a two-day sightseeing trip to New Orleans April 18-19 as part of the
spring SAGE series.

Jessica Dorman, director of
publications, marketing and student education at The Historic New Orleans
Collection, will present a lecture titled "Henry Howard, Louisiana’s Architect”
at 3 p.m. Monday, April 9, in the McNeese State University SEED Center to close

Fernandez, daughter of the late Cuban leader Fidel Castro, will present a reading
from her book titled "Castro’s Daughter: An Exile’s Memoir of Cuba” at 7 p.m.
Wednesday, March 28, in the Tritico Theatre as part of the 2018 Banners at McNeese
State University season.

Tax season is underway and 24 McNeese
State University finance and accounting students are working as interns or
volunteers for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program through the
United Way of Southwest Louisiana, offering free tax preparation assistance to
qualifying students, faculty and members of the community.

McNeese State University’s W.A. and Dorothy Hanna Department
of Performing Arts will present the final theatre production
of the season - The Teenage Project: Mythbusting Adolescence - March
21-25 in Tritico Theatre. Times are 7:30 p.m. March 21-24 and 2 p.m. March 25.

Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics announced that accreditation for McNeese State University’s
Didactic Program in Dietetics and its Dietetic Internship has been extended through
June 2019. Both programs are offered
through the Harold and Pearl Dripps School of Agricultural Sciences.

Mitchell Adrian has been selected to serve as provost and vice president for
academic affairs and enrollment management at McNeese State University. Adrian
has been serving in the interim role since August 2017. His appointment is
pending approval by the University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors.|

The McNeese State University rodeo team
has completed two rodeo competitions this spring. The women’s rodeo team placed second
and the men’s team placed fourth at the Trinity Valley Community College rodeo
competition in Athens, Texas.
